The Stars Tracker is a DIY Scotch Mount kit allowing you to take pictures of the night sky using your SLR camera. There are two versions of the Stars Tracker, one manual and one motorized.
Stars Tracker
The manual version of the Stars Tracker is optimized for portability. This is the perfect mount to bring with you in your next trip. It is small, light and easy to assemble.
The motorized Stars Tracker is better suited for the serious astrophotographer. This version comes with a high quality stepper motor controlled by an Arduino micro-controller. The motorized Stars Tracker allows longer and more precise unguided exposures.
The Stars Tracker is an Open Source Hardware project. You are welcome to open it, hack it, modify it … it’s yours. The kit will be available for sale soon but if you have a 3D printer and want to make yours now, visit my page on Thingiverse and start printing.
